i-DUST 2022: 7-10 June, 2022

The 8th edition of the inter-Disciplinary Underground Science & Technology (i-DUST 2022) international conference will take place in the wonderful premises of the University d'Avignon and Pays de Vaucluse in the centre of Avignon on June 7-10, 2022. For this i-DUST edition, all talks from the different topics will be mixed within each session to facilitate the interactions associated to inter-disciplinary science, which was much appreciated by attendees of former i-DUST conferences.

The 7th edition of the inter-Disciplinary Underground Science & Technology (i-DUST 2018) international conference took place in the wonderful premises of the University d'Avignon et du Pays de Vaucluse in the centre of Avignon on June 4-5, 2018. i-DUST 2018 welcomed 49 attendees from Switzerland, Portugal, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Canada and United Kingdom. Several topics related to underground science were discussed as astroparticles biology, geosciences, history, microelectronics and modeling. 27 papers including 4 invited talks, 23 publications were presented at the conference. 12 extended papers were reviewed and accepted for publication in E3S Web of Conferences. They are all accessible in open access from this page. For this i-DUST edition, all talks from the different topics were mixed within each session to facilitate the interactions associated to inter-disciplinary science, which was much appreciated by attendees. Next i-DUST 2020 conference is planned on spring 2020, either in Avignon or in another town around LSBB, may be Cadarache or Aix-En-Provence. We are looking forward for your contribution and attendance.

The i-DUST biennial international conference offers since 2002 a unique opportunity to gather communities concerned by inter-disciplinary underground activities. i-DUST features the latest updates on the scientific topics from laboratory scale (including their geological and atmospheric surroundings), up to the Universe scale. The organizing institution is the Low background noise inter-Disciplinary Underground Science & Technology Laboratory (LSBB) of Rustrel – Pays d’Apt in Provence, southern France.
